Vác
Design:
2010
The monastery and its immediate surroundings were reconstructed in 2019, and as a follow-up, our office prepared a concept plan for the larger part of the garden. The site has been archaeologically excavated and documented, and historical research (historical maps, aerial photographs, documents) was carried out by us prior to the planning phase. The presumed ruins of the Vác Castle walls were incorporated into the garden design concept. Tourism development in the area can be achieved by emphasising the historical past, with the former castle and city walls as a central element. In addition to a multi-purpose event area, a “garden of the senses” and an educational garden are also included.
