„Etyek, Budapest szőlőskertje” – a szlogen pontosan mutatja, mire rendeltetett a vidék. A jó borok készítése nem egyszerűen árutermelés, hanem egy lehetőség – ehhez azonban elengedhetetlen az igényes, funkciókat minden tekintetben kielégítő, rendezett települési és természeti környezet. A településfejlesztés során elegendő a meglévő értékek kiemelése, és bemutatása ahhoz, hogy a település megfeleljen a mai kor, a lakók és az idelátogatók igényeinek. A település jelenlegi szövetét, és a jelenlegi fejlesztések nem minden szemszögből kedveznek a település egészének: így gyengül a történelmi központi rész, alulhasznált területek alakultak ki, a pincesorok jelenlegi megközelítési irányai romosak, rendezetlenek. A közigazgatási intézmények településen belüli átszervezésével helyrebillen a funkcionális egyensúly. A templom körüli részek fejlesztésével, rendezésével a városközpont ismét megtelhet élettel. Tervünk a BORD Építész Stúdióval közreműködve készült.

The plaza was designed as a typically paved, multifunctional main square. Its use is dominated by the café terraces that fill the plaza with life. The National Flag is a focal point, with a prominent position linking several visual directions. The Reformed Church was given a new significance and was integrated into the life of the square. Seating cubes were placed under the trees. An important element of the main square is the large open lawn area on the site of the fire barracks, which with its large surface conditioning the microclimate of the space and providing a place to sit, relax and enjoy the sun. The water feature at the base of the horse statue adds to the visual and environmental value of the space. The design was carried out in collaboration with REProjekt Architects.
