2023_Királydomb Park, Fót

The proposed design of the Királydomb Recreation Park responds to the development of the surrounding urban area. The park is served by a 1.5m wide walking path, which is aligned with the existing running path. The lower part has a classic public park design, with a tree planted and lawn area. The main attraction of its playground is a 12 m high rope pyramid, which makes the park a regionally outstanding playground. Nearby is the “throne seat”, an identity-forming element, referring to the name of the Királydomb (King’s Hill). The lookout terrace offers a beautiful view of the Buda Hills. In front of it we have designed a paved square, which is also suitable for smaller events. The square is covered by a pergola system of dinamically changing columns suitable for the installation of canopies, partly with a semi-intensive green roofs. To the west of the lookout terrace is the picnic area, shaded by the proposed trees.

2023_Themed Playground, Kecskemét

The design area included the surroundings of the small covered riding hall of the Rudolf barracks in Kecskemét and the area between the two riding halls, where the design task was the landscaping and creation of a playground. Our aim was to create a playground based on a hussar theme, which would provide an aesthetic, easy to maintain, varied physical activity development, while at the same time allowing space for free play and providing the adjacent park area and renovated building opportunities for other functions, such as garden cinema. The playground elements are arranged according to different themes and ages: the accessible Cifra (Fine) Palace, the Toborzó (Recruit) Tower, and Hussar Tower for older children, and for younger children: Hussar Riding Hall, Mesh Climbing Pyramid Island, Music Corner, Play Castle and the Cableway Island.

2021_Blue Island Theme Park, Debrecen

The playground of the Nagyerdő (Big Forest) in Debrecen has undergone an extension and a complete renovation based on our plans, almost doubling the size of the former playground. The functional offer has also been extended with a reception building. The concept was inspired by Magda Szabó’s storybook Sziget-kék. Many elements of the playground is related to the characters and locations in the book, so children can play out the adventures in the book, and it can also be a motivation to read the book for those who have not done so before. The area offers spectacular and exciting solutions for visitors. In the spirit of the novel, a mini-city has been constructed, many swings have been installed and the KRESZ park has been renovated and extended. Taking into account the youngest children and those with disabilities, the 0-2 age group can play in a separate section from the older age groups, while the barrier-free play area has been renewed and extended.

2019_Sports Park in Kőbánya

For decades, the Sportliget has been a popular recreational area for residents of the surrounding areas. Our plan is to build on this position, adding new features and infrastructure. Its area is divided into three main parts. The sports area includes various fields and areas for sports activities. The Great Meadow will be renewed in its original function, with the renovated playground remaining in its original location. The third unit is the Deep Lake, located in the north-western area of the Sports Park.

The plan makes use of the existing parkland, preserving and complementing the existing footpath system. A new focal point for the park is the reception area, which will provide a link between the existing swimming pool and beach and the park, serving both areas.

2007_Kispatak Kindergarden, Nagykovácsi

The elongated-shaped site has a similar kind of building, designed by Horber Ltd. For outdoor activities, different types of units have been created in the back garden to match the layout of the building. These ensure the mental and physical development of children of different ages, and the development of their ecological understanding. The following activity units have been created: playgrounds with standard play equipment, a water play area, an elevated grass area, a vegetable garden and composting area, a waste collection yard, a gym, and various paved surfaces. Between the play areas and the rear boundary, we have created small and large hills that children enjoy and that have a positive effect on their mobility. The area was previously an agricultural land, with no existing trees or shrubs. The proposed design includes native trees and shrubs, so children can learn about the native flora of our country.

2006_Kindergarden, Letkés

For the access to the building and the garden of the kindergarten planned by Horber Ltd., two intersecting paved paths were designed. The paths and the building divides the garden into 3 larger units with a total of 4 linked play areas. In the quieter area behind the building, two large play areas have been created with a variety of play equipment. Between the two units, small hills have been created to increase the children’s mobility options. A well-sustainable garden can be achieved by planting a wide variety of plants, using plant material that is adapted to each other and to the site. The plants in the garden have been selected to be non-toxic, with different colours, shapes and scents to help the education of children about the environment and develop their aesthetic sense.
