Arrival at the site reveals the large factory hall, where the office units are located in the main building, adjacent to it. On the second floor of the main building there is an outdoor terrace with an important visual link to the garden. The main entrance area is divided into two parts. Each garden section surrounds a longitudinal ornamental pool. In the pool, custom concrete planters – so called pre-formed concrete rock gardens with planting medium – have been created. The pool is framed by biodiverse perennial beds planted with waterside and water-party plants, interspersed with paths and benches. To the east of the factory building, a leisure zone with a large lawn and oak trees along the axis of the pool was added. The seating area is framed by a variety of green borders and trimmed hedges along the site perimeter. The oak recreation area is framed by waving trimmed evergreen yew hedges.

Infopark is the first innovation and technology park in Central and Eastern Europe. The office building, built in two phases, is its most eastern element. The proximity of the Danube gives the area a special character, and the existing promenade of the Infopark ends here. The two office buildings were built in two different phases, but we tried to ensure that the gardens harmonised with each other and with the existing green spaces, in terms of style, planting and materials. The paving pattern runs parallel to the raster of the building, which continues as a stepping stone path in the lawn. The promenade, designed as an extension of the walkway, is enhanced by the adjacent tree line. The garden also serves as a public space. The blocks of buildings are divided by roof gardens. While the smaller ones are more aesthetically pleasing, the larger ones also have a recreational role. From here you can enjoy a splendid panorama of the Danube.

At the junction of Váci road and Forgách street (on the site of the former Orion factory), a complex office park was developed between 2015 and 2019. The related reconstruction of the garden was also carried out in several phases, including the renovation of the public space at the corner of Váci road and Forgách street. Individually, the different phases have a unique character, but they also form a complete unit. On the roof of the former garage building, a representative roof garden suitable for recreation and sports has been constructed. The Lomb Street office building block was further divided into three smaller roofs. The interior and exterior spaces constitute a single unit.

2015_K4 Office Building, Budapest

The K4 office building was built at the junction of Dózsa György road and Váci road, in a location that is also a significant part of the urban structure. Its distinctive character blocks open up to the public space in a fan-shaped form, connected by a roof with a characteristic geometry. In the context of the development of the office building, the surrounding public spaces will be redeveloped, creating a modern public space with a uniform look and a modern, sophisticated design, which will become a valuable element in the green network of the capital with its much larger green area and significant plant population. The garden follows the strong geometry of the building, and the green spaces are divided into triangles and gulas that rise out of the surface.

2015_V17 Office, Budapest

The V17 office building is the distinctive entrance building of the Váci road office axis, with open transparent building blocks. The garden design intended to fit in with the style and function of the new building, while creating an exciting and multifunctional garden space. The firewalls bordering the garden were covered with taller plants, and valuable green areas were created above the basement slab. For those looking out from the upper floors of the building, the green area provides a valued visual experience. The garden, due to the character of the building, is open to the public spaces, so the inner garden also has a public function.

The most characteristic element is the continuous monolithic concrete retaining wall of varying height, which has the function of separating, bordering and dividing spaces. Behind it, beneath large canopy trees, geometrically arranged ground-covering shrub patches with perennial patches were planted. In the public space on Váci road, in 40cm soil-filled planting trenches, we designed low plants that tolerate the bad conditions, with plant patches similar in form to the ground floor garden.

The office building is located in the XI district, int he commercial and industrial centre of south Buda. During the design process, the Client’s requirements huided the main directions of the project: the main request was to fully maintain the existing parking spaces and to extend the garden with new features to provide a recreational space for the employees while providing pedestrian flow.

The building is located in the central part of Pest, on an area bordered by Wesselényi, Síp and Kazinczy streets. We designed several options to transform the existing inner courtyard.

At East Gate Business Park, Aspectus Architect’s modern design was the guiding principle behind the building’s surroundings. Our main goal was to create an aesthetically pleasing, minimalist ornamental garden in harmony with the building. The users of the building were given space in the green area, making it a multi-purpose garden. Shrub planting and perennial patches appear only further away from the building, along the parking areas.

The boundaries of the green spaces adjacent to the ground floor of the building designed by RóF Architects Ltd. are marked by the buildings and the circulation roads. Charming green islands were created on one side above the garage, where precast concrete elements were used to build 50 cm high raised garden parts. In some locations, benches have been designed on the raised parts, which provides a peaceful environment for garden visitors to relax in. Outside the building contour, a side, back and front garden was created between the remaining pavement and the building. These garden areas have the advantage of not being placed on slabs, so larger shrubs, evergreens and deciduous trees could be planted here to enhance the natural ambience of the garden. In the case of two building wings, it was also possible to create a roof garden on the second floor. The front garden serves a representational purpose, with decorative flowerbeds 30 cm high, indicating the individual facade features of the building.

Our office prepared the permit and construction plans for the surroundings of the building designed by Artgroup Kft. for the Industrial Park in Budaörs. It was important to give users as much space as possible in the “green”, which creates the possibility of multi-purpose garden use. In addition to the conditioning effect, our main goal was to create an aesthetic ornamental garden that harmonises with the building. This is particularly true around entrances, between the building and the road. Here, playful lines of clipped evergreen hedges alternate with strips of lawn. To the rear and along both sides of the building, there is a more natural shrub planting. The project won the Media Architecture Award in 2007.
