He recieved his degree in horticulture in 1965 from the College of Horticulture and Viticulture in Budapest. In his first jobs – at Rozmaring and then at Óbuda farmer’s cooperative – he worked in ornamental plant cultivation and assigned to design and build a horticultural exhibition. Thanks to the success of the project, this gradually became his main task. In 1978 he obtained a secondary vocational qualification in advertising, and between 1977-85 he was an advertising manager at the Óbuda cooperative. He was able to work as an independent designer – as a sideline – from 1980.From 1994 he was a garden designer for Gartenbau Ltd. and from 1998 for Oázis Ltd. At national and international ornamental plant exhibitions – Bratislava, Olomouc, Bonn, Taipei – his stalls have won prestigious awards. His project in Bonyhád was awarded the Garden of the Year in 2009. Together with her son and Judit Tarcsányi, he founded Gardenworks Ltd. in 2003.
