Our goal in the competition was to ensure that Népliget could play its significant role and be given a new identity while preserving its existing values. Gateway areas were a particular focus of our plan. The core structure of the existing road network has been retained, with contemporary elements added. Habitats created by spontaneous forest regeneration have been supplemented with newly planted biodiverse, climate-adaptive vegetation to ensure sustainability. The facilities have been expanded to meet the needs of a broader range of visitors, especially young people and nature sports enthusiasts, for whom the park offers great recreational opportunities. One of the main identity features of the park is the elliptical pedestrian space in the Mutatványosok square. The new furniture in the park is inspired by the existing red benches.
